RESUME/BIO

Professional
info

I am a TABCOM/ABCUSA licensed minister, on track for ordination.  I am a member of Zion Baptist Church in Lynn, MA under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Kirk Byron Jones and I serve as an adjutant for Bishop Dan G. Hayes of Zion Tabernacle Church of Norwood, MA.  I prefer to be called Cheryl.

I am retired from the corporate world, where I served as a Project Manager for many, many years.   I currently work helping people improve the website looks and organizing different activities and events.

Both and avid reader and writer, I am currently working on my first book.  Look for it in the Spring of 2022!

Originally from Cambridge MA and the elder of two children, I am also the mother of two children, and the grandmother of five.

I worked as a Project Coordinator and Manager for 24 years for AT&T and took an early retirement package at age 47!  I then went to work for NextGNetworks and then to American Tower involved in installation projects for 4G technology for both MetroPCS and T-Mobile.

I came to Zion in April 2016 and gave my life to Christ in June!  I have been an active, proactive and reactive member ever since!  I am the Church Clerk, the Good Morning Zion Director, the church Website Administrator, an Adult Bible Study Team Leader, a Sunday School teacher, Co-Chair of the Women’s Ministry and I sing in the Adult Choir.  I am always willing to pitch in wherever help is needed and finds ways to enhance every ministry in Zion.

I take immense pride in being not only good listener but a great friend to all, and I'm living my "new life" trying to be a faithful follower of Jesus Christ.

I attend the TABCOM/School of Ministry and will be starting my third and final year in February 2021.  I was formally licensed in July 2019.  I am also serving as the current clerk for Judson Association Board and a member of the Conference of Baptist Ministers in Massachusetts.

“God gave Zion to me, so that I would know the blessings I have, and that HE gave me to Zion, so that they could receive the gifts I have to offer.”  My journey now takes me on a new road, that of ministry.  And what better way to use my gifts.  I believe that this was God’s plan all along.
